Big Move

We're moving to a great, bright house(!) next weekend so right now my life is packing or working. I'm sorry for the slowdown in posts these past couple weeks, but more is coming after this big move! I cannot wait to share the amazing projects I've been working on!

Expect lots of dream home-spiration these next couple days...

Sunday Style Section: Seeing Stars

I love stars in my hair. I have a couple I picked up from a vintage expo, but after seeing this pretty cluster at the Rodarte show, I might finally have to cave and get a crown from Giant Dwarf.

Sunday Style Section: Little White Dress

I'm slowly and surely collecting lots of ideas for our wedding on a pinboard (that's what Pinterest was invented for, right?). I'm really in love with these two dresses, especially the Alexander McQueen on the left, but they're a wee bit out of my price range. Maybe if I just bought that dress and took everyone out for a nice dinner instead?

P.S. If any of you have recommendations for places to look for lace wedding dresses that are not strapless, please let me know!

City Guide: Los Angeles

In case you didn't catch it this week, I wrote up a city guide to LA for Allison's blog Show + Tell on some of my favorite flea markets, eateries and museums you can take in on a weekend. Read it here and plan a trip out (or around town)!

Don't Leave Me Brokenhearted Tonight

It's been awhile since I've been obsessed with music, so you've gotta believe me when I say you have to listen to Karmin. I first discovered them when they were the musical guest on SNL. They're mostly known for being YouTube stars and their Covers album. But their single Brokenhearted is my jam right now.

I also love lead singer Amy Heidemann's style. There's a great Refinery29 interview with her, and she has two hair tutorials here and here. Love a lady who shares her beauty secrets.

Sunday Style Section: Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror

I'm really excited for Mirror Mirror - I love films that are a visual feast. These costumes, designed by the insanely talented (and now sadly, late) Eiko Ishioka, are out of this world beautiful.

Last Week in Pictures

Life has been a big crazy whirlwind lately, which has been great for inspiration and bad for this blog. I'm adjusting to a new schedule, and loving every moment of it. To catch up, here's a peek into last week:

I walk past this little lady and the Dior Bar Suit every day at my new job.

Helping out at the Ban.do booth at The Cream was super fun - it was great meeting so many awesome people & gather great ideas for my own wedding.

On Friday night, I dragged my exhausted heels over to the La Luz de Jesus mega group show Laluzapalooza because I was in it! On the wall with all the real paintings!

And then this weekend has been catching up on sleep and a grip of freelance projects.

Thanks for catching up with me via Instagram! (You can find me here: anndanger).

Sunday Style Section: Yellow Now & Then

So this thing happened to me for the last three years called Art School. In Art School, I learned quickly why black is the style color of choice - because charcoal (and ink, oil paint, acrylic, spray mount...) stain your clothes fast and unforgivingly. After throwing out shirts and pants to the losing game of Ann vs. Charcoal, I stepped up the black and dark colored clothes in my closet.

Those days are long behind me now - and I'm ready to infuse more color in my wardrobe. Baby, I've missed you so.
