Working on the Weekend

As you can probably tell, I didn't get around to working too much on the blog this weekend. Unexpected, emergency home repairs requiring tons of spray bleach, respirators and a visit from the plumber came into play on Friday afternoon - which resulted in a Sunday morning migraine for me. So it was less than pleasant, to say the least.

Because of all the rain that we've been having here in allegedly sunny L.A., we discovered some mold on our bedroom walls. I, naturally, had a cow. We realized we needed some sort of headboard, but didn't want to get a new bigger bed just yet. Right now we're in that tricky stage of still being in school and the good-enough apartment that comes with it.

Enter, a trip to Ikea and an impromptu solution. The only headboards they sold were these six feet high wrought iron gate looking ones, which were awesome, but didn't really fit the rest of our room. So we opted for a long Klimt reproduction on a stretched canvas. It creates a spacer between our pillows and the wall, and when we do finally upgrade to my dream bed, we can still hang it up as decoration.

Love home decor that serves double duty.
