I took that risk & I jumped ship

Finally, some drawings! Here are two head portraits I did for extra credit in my Heads & Hands class, because lord knows, I need it. I will probably do another one or two before class on Wednesday since I'm finally getting the hang of this technique, and it's actually kind of fun. That's what I've been focusing on lately - fun. It's kind of ridiculous what a mindtrip art school is. Have you seen that recent episode of The Office where Michael goes around roasting everyone? And he says to Pam, "Pam, you failed art school? Roasted!" Well, I'm totally feeling you, Ms. Beasley.

There will always be people better and people worse off than you - in art school, in Scattegories, and in life. But I'm not used to this much waffling, and the constant comparing that you do your first few terms of art school isn't much help. So instead of sweating the small stuff, I'm focusing on having fun. Making things that are fun for me. That's the main reason I went back to art school in the first place. To find a little daily fun.
